Take care of yourself - listen to your body and mind for best life possible

We all know to eat right, brush our teeth and generally take care of ourselves, but when it comes to detail of what it means, we’re only sure about the twice daily tooth brushing, and as for the rest a lot of us are confused whether we’re to eat just fruits and vegetables or whether we should opt for a well balanced diet, or whether taking care of yourself means a weekly visit to the spa or to a psychologist.

The truth is taking care of yourself means doing what is right for you. One person needs to put on triathlon gear and disappear for a full day of trying exercise to achieve inner peace and contentment with own body, another requires several hours of meditation, yet a different one has to talk things over with an outsider. You are responsible for finding what works best for you, because you are the only one who can figure out what is and what isn’t good for your body and mind.

As much as taking care of yourself is an individual thing, though, there are some general guidelines that may help you get on the right path. Listen to your body as far as food, just don’t mistake a craving for actual hunger. Observe your body after different meals and note what effect bread, dairy or meat has on you both physically and mentally, so you can eat only those foods that are good for you.

Try different types of exercise to find one that’s good for you, that gives you the results you want not harming your body at the same time. Knowing your weak points will help you choose exercise regimen that’s right for you, which will make you more willing to work out than if you were to do something causing pain in your back or strain to your arms.

You’re not taking good care of yourself if you eat well, exercise, use quality beauty products but still are unhappy every morning, so take a closer look at what makes you smile, what makes you relax, and try to incorporate it into your life. It maybe wearing couture dresses, painting still nature or singing along with your favorite CD. You need to find it and if you can’t do it yourself, ask for help either from a friend or a professional, so you can be taken care of inside and out, mentally and physically.
