Being an artist is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand it is amazing to create new things using our imagination – it requires a very sensitive soul and strength of all the senses. On the other hand this kind of passion can hardly ever guarantee a decent job. Artists usually have to work somewhere else and make creating their ‘after hours’ passion.

But it doesn’t always have to be like that. Thanks to computers and the Internet art can be used for many different things. Just a couple of years ago almost everything had to be created on a piece of paper before it started its existence in reality. Nowadays almost everything starts their life in a computer file to be then built physically.

Web design market for example needs creative people who would share their inspirations in creating all kinds of projects. From simple websites, through different applications to big movie productions – it all has to be designed first. And it is best if it is created by artists. Most people who work as web designers claims that they love their job and they are lucky to be able to combine their passion with their profession.

Think of all the famous movies like Lord of the Rings, Avatar or the newest huge productions. The scenery, the characters and special effects were all first drawn by an artist with a pen tablet to be then brought to life by engineers and modern technology. Think how easy it is now! There is no need to use a pencil and paper to then scan it or copy to the computer. It can all be done using a couple of special tools. Working with tablet graphic gives the artist the feeling of creating, just as if they were drawing a regular picture with paints, brushes and crayons. Some might say it is still not the same but I think that’s a small price to pay to let the world see and appreciate your work!
