Haas School of Business ready to revamp its courses to nurture creative leadership


Based in Berkeley, California, Haas School of Business has long had a reputation for producing outstanding MBA graduates with a separate set of social and leadership skills. Beginning this fall, the school is changing its curriculum to expose their core values to a greater extent and take greater responsibility for shaping responsible business people, prepared to tackle the problems of the modern world with unmatched stamina and integrity.


The school had been planning changes for 18 months and they are bound to affect both full-time and weekend programs. Their central principle is going to be greater emphasis for culture of organizations that contributes to beneficial innovation and the sense of responsibility in business. With a number of key problem areas facing businesses, governments and organization having to do with issues of justice, sustainability and creativity , the school wishes to stimulate the right kind of leaders to meet these challenges with its adjustments such doing business in South America.


The faculty has resoundingly supported this revamp in a voting. As a result, all main course components are going to stay in place, but they are or will be extensively reviewed to include recent findings and standards that enhance innovative leadership in every aspect of modern business, from accounting to car manufacturing. In addition, the school has announced new courses, workshops and coaching sessions with the same focus on leading others. Yet another novelty is how Haas is planning to integrate its students with its own organizational culture, highlighting its own guiding principles and building on them.
