London, My Love

I’ve just came back from my trip to London. I visit this city very often and it always makes me fall in love with it. I used to live in London for almost two years and they were the best years of my life. I don’t know what it is, but London has some kind of glue that makes you come back there again and again. I suspect that one day I’ll just move there for good.

It’s just another huge, busy and crowded town. What makes me love it so much? I’ve been thinking about it and there are some things that make it so special to me. First of all it’s the music scene. I love the fact that the biggest concert arenas are placed in London. Hammersmith Apollo, London Astoria or O2 Arena are the best places to enjoy the power of live show and to see the world’s biggest bands. But London is also a stage to smaller bands that want to start their careers. There is a place for every musician in this city; there are hundreds of smaller music clubs. And because music is one of the most important things to me I’ve always adored London for that.

Another thing is the people. They’re so different but somehow still the same. There are people from many various countries and from all continents. The culture mixture is so exciting. They dress in a special London way that I absolutely love. The women wear casual things like jeggings and T-shirts and still look girly and elegant. The men wear mostly skinny jeans with stylish shoes and trendy hats. The hairdos seem to be messy but after a closer look you know they’re masterpieces of some talented hairdressers. You get inspired and suddenly want to look new – you look into your wardrobe and pick up the items that look similar to the ones you saw on the street and arrange them into something completely new. And you feel good wearing it.

Oh and I love all those small stinky roach-coaches located on every corner. There was one I especially loved and where I would always get my low carb pita bread with chicken and vegetables during my painfully short lunch break. It was my favorite moment of the day when I could just sit on a bench, eat my lunch, drink my coffee and watch the people. Londoners are such nice people! I used to chat randomly all the time. I’ve never met so many people! I miss it so much.

I guess all these small things don’t let me forget London and make me visit this city as often as I can. Luckily London lies at the center of the world and until I move there for good I can fly there easily from everywhere on Earth!
