Prom is one of those occasions when we want to look gorgeous and feel like a princess. We are so eager to make a big impression this special night that sometimes it is dangerous as we can easily lose control and totally miss the point of how a prom beauty should look like. But with a little bit of common sense we can prepare ourselves for that night and look stunning. All we have to do is follow some simple rules.
The most important thing is of course the dress. We have to choose it carefully and we should take our time in this matter. First we have to decide whether we would like to get one of the custom made prom dresses or just buy it from the shop. The first option is more expensive, but gives us so many possibilities and absolutely unique look. If you have an exact idea of how your dress should look like detail by detail then this is an option for you. Plus you can be sure that the dress will fit you well. If you’re not sure about the color or style of the dress you will have to look in the shops. But don’t worry – you will find something for sure, the choice is unlimited now! Then there’s another question: the price. Do we want something really special, like more expensive couture prom dresses or a cheaper version. Let’s just remember we will probably wear it only once in our life!
As for the style of a prom dress it is also our choice but there are some details we should mind when choosing it. First of all it should not be too short. It is generally assumed that prom dresses are more like ball dresses, not disco outfits. Elegant but not provocative. The color is up to us, but there should be some restraint in brightness and glittering. We don’t want to look like a Christmas tree! And one more rule – we should feel good and ourselves in our dresses. If it is uncomfortable or totally not our style we will most likely have a spoilt evening!
Accessories are equally important – shoes, nadbags, jewelry. High heels are beautiful but let’s remember that we are going to dance. We can wear them of course but it is recommended that we take a pair of comfortable shoes with us to change them when our feet feel tired.
Let’s say a word about makeup and hair now. It should be an evening makeup but without exaggerating. Experiments are not recommended here. Let’s wear a little bit stronger version of the makeup we wear every day. This is safe and can guarantee that we will look good. The same thing is with the hair. No experiments, just something elegant and classic.
Don’t try harder, don’t change so much that even the friends won’t recognize you. The person you become is not you anymore. Just make yourself beautiful, inside and outside. This is your night!
